Photoshoots should be as much about the memories as it is about the photos themselves.
I understand that being in front of the camera can be a new or uncomfortable experience. One of the most common phrases I hear before a shoot is “I just want to warn you, I’m terrible in front of the camera!” To which my answer is always, everyone is. It’s my job to either highlight your special brand of awkward or alleviate any anxiety.
My goal is to provide a comfortable space where your first thoughts are “wow, this is fun,” rather than “oh my god what do I do with my hands?” I’ll provide direction and motion-specific actions to ease your mind and build the experience into more than just a photoshoot.

I operate on my own coined phrase called The Four C’s (color & cheese were close runner-ups) “Campy, Casual, Classic, & Comfort.” I want to ensure the experience covers all the bases. These photos should represent you to the max.
So whether that means matching outfits, or bold backdrops we can channel all the “camp” energy. While “camp” works for some people, that’s not everyone's jive. “Casual” photos in your home or in your neighborhood in some blue jeans and your favorite crew neck might mean just as much to you as the glitz and glam. A “classic” approach is for those who resonate with the timeless; staple locations with staple outfits. Between a select few stylized, posed images we’ll be sure to mix in the movement-filled, natural moments because “comfort” is a huge component.
Oftentimes, the key is surroundings & activity. Let’s get creative!
If you’re bowling or setting up a picnic, you’re less likely to focus on my lens. We can romp around the desert with a boom-box or blast your tunes in-studio.
it’s all in the moment
FAQ’s
My most common question by far! Warm, nostalgic, intentional, specialized, limited, joyful. Analog photography is for the vinyl lovers, the movie buffs, the coffee snobs (I say that affectionately) or those with timeless taste.
Typically when I’m shooting film at a family shoot, portrait session, or on a wedding day, my focus is to tell a story entirely made up of in-between moments. I’m specific about the frame, focus, and timing as I space out those 36 frames between my digital coverage. They oftentimes turn out to be my favorite images of the gallery.
Each roll of 35mm is $150 for 34-36 images, 120 film is 16 images all delivered digitally with the rest of your gallery. I supply black and white or color.
What’s the deal with film photography?
Where are you based?
I’m based in Portland, Oregon but am originally from Phoenix, Arizona!
Why yes I do, a little too much maybe! I’m almost always on the go. I basically live out of my suitcase and have memorized more than a few airports. Honestly, it’s such an honor to get to capture milestones for people all over the world.
If you’re curious about an out-of-state documentation, I charge $700 as a flat travel rate for overnight stays to cover my travel & expenses. *rate is subject to change depending on airfare surges etc.
Do you travel?
As a proud member of the community myself, yes I do! The queer community means the world to me and getting to capture all love stories from all people should be priority for any photographer.
Do you document lgbtq+ weddings?
It all depends on the shoot you’ve scheduled, but even my smallest sessions at 30min typically receive at least 50 images. Wedding galleries typically tally to 600 photos at the lowest!
How many photographs will I receive?
Indeed you can! I don’t hold any printing rights for images, so no extra fees are required. All my galleries have a built-in shop where you can design cards, albums, or wall pieces and help support my business, however, you are by no means obligated to order through me!
Can I print my photos?
I respond within 24 hours Monday through Friday.
